Our vision is a Bradford free of food poverty where people have access to affordable good food.

Feeding Bradford was first convened by Reverend Canon Gordon Dey and includes a wide range of community organisations, faith groups, local charities, and representatives from the local authority. The group are particularly interested in measuring food insecurity in Bradford, combating childhood hunger, and developing multi-faith approaches to ending food poverty.

Work Priorities

  1. Ensure that children in Bradford are fed during term time and in school holidays
  2. Improve food crisis support so that no one has to go to bed hungry
  3. Ensure that decision makers and residences of Bradford and beyond are aware of the underlying factors leading to food insecurity and have positive ways of responding
  4. Involve experts by experience in Feeding Bradford’s work
